Ceduna Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession designed to assess impairments associated with movement and function, which cause an individual pain and discomfort. Physiotherapy is a 4 year university degree.

Physiotherapists are highly trained and skilled healthcare professionals, attending university for 4 years. I graduated from the Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand, in 2010. After spending my final year of study working in a busy teaching hospital in Taranaki (NZ) gaining experience in musculoskeletal outpatients, acute medical and neurological rehabilitation, ICU and community physiotherapy. I moved to Australia in 2011, and began working for Angela Dunsford of the Good Country Physiotherapy Organisation. Angela has a Master of Physiotherapy, and in 2012 attended the London Olympics to work as a Physiotherapist. I worked between two country hospitals, and private practices in Keith and Bordertown, South Australia. I gained an enormous amount of experience working for a professional like Angela, and she is a extraordinary role model as for someone like me. After 18 months working for Angela, my partner Jamie and I were expecting our first baby in August, 2012. I took 6 months off from work, and then moved to Adelaide with Jamie where I began working for the very reputable ACH group, which is an organization specialising in aged care rehabilitation and transitional care. In July, 2013, Jamie and I moved to Ceduna for his work but also to offer the people of Ceduna a Private Physiotherapist. I enjoy all aspects of physiotherapy and seeing positive changes in an individuals function and well being. I have a post graduate level 1 certificate in the Mckenzie Institute International Australia Branch for the Lumbar Spine, Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. I have also completed an Upper Quadrant Mulligan Concept Course.
